Creating a Home for Dash

​​In this project, we noticed that the home for Dash, our African Sulcata Tortoise, isn't ideal for him. Students answered the driving question, "How can we create a safe and comfortable habitat for Dash?" We researched articles, asked questions and investigated with experts about an ideal habitat for Dash. Creating blueprints with our understandings, the students illustrated multiple drafts through critique and revision. Finally, an Eagle Scout helped build the outdoor habitat using ideas from the children's blueprints. We hope that Dash will be happy and safe in his outdoor enclosure.
