How do Forces of Nature & Environment Impact our Local Habitats?

Written By Hyla

My name is Hyla and I am a second grader at HTe North County. My class went to clean up Carlsbad Beach and noticed lots of trash! We decided to create a project about our dilemma. The essential question for our project was, "How do forces of nature and environment our local habitats?" We learned how trash and pollution impact the animals that live in our local habitats.

Please read my research below to learn more about our project and how you can help protect our local habitats.

Tiny’s Death

One day Stripey was in shallow water with her friends, Tigger the tiger-shark and Tiny the lantern shark. Then suddenly, a dolphin swan by. Gulp! Tigger ate the dolphin. Then a human took Tiny!!! “We have to save Tiny” sobbed Stripey.

“There will be blood everywhere!!!” Stripey said. “Let’s stay away from land” suggested Tigger! “Yay” cheered Stripey! Tigger and Stripey lived a happy and long life because they stayed away from the dangerous land and any human swimming in the ocean!

Special thanks to:

People kill sharks for skincreams, fish and chips, shark toothnecklaces, shark skin purses, machine greases, shavings, cattlefeeds, fertilizers, shark fin soups, shark skin belts, shark skin shoes and shark skill wallets! Stop killing, start saving!
