How do Forces of Nature & Environment

Impact our Local Habitats?

Written By Jasmin

My name is Jasmin and I am a second grader at HTe North County. My class went to clean up Carlsbad Beach and noticed lots of trash! We decided to create a project about our dilemma. The essential question for our project was, "How do forces of nature and environment our local habitats?" We learned how trash and pollution impact the animals that live in our local habitats.

Please read my research below to learn more about our project and how you can help protect our local habitats.

The Sea Turtle Stuck in the Net

One day a sea turtle was swimming in the sea. He saw a boat surrounded by fish and jel fish. He got excited and swam to the bot All of a sudden he got squished with the fish. He was stuck in the net. It got pulled up to the boat. In the net all of the fish were wiggling and were slapping the sea turtle. He got dizzy. The sea turtle got scared. The sea turtle tried to eat the jelly fish in the net. But he couldn’t because he was stuck in the net. When he tried he got lifted up. Then the sea turtle chewed on the rope. He was hanging on with all of those fish that got caught from the sea and the people saw the sea turtle in the net.

When the people in the boat saw the sea turtle stuck in the net, one of the people on the boat got a knife to cut the net for the sea turtle to go back in the sea to spend the day under the sea. He needs to be with his family under the sea. When the people tried to get the sea turtle, he chewed on the net and dropped down. He climbed to the end of the boat and the sea turtle dropped into the sea. He was finally happy under the sea.
