How do Forces of Nature & Environment

Impact our Local Habitats?

Written By Vanessa

My name is Vanessa and I am a second grader at HTe North County. My class went to clean up Carlsbad Beach and noticed lots of trash! We decided to create a project about our dilemma. The essential question for our project was, "How do forces of nature and environment our local habitats?" We learned how trash and pollution impact the animals that live in our local habitats.

Please read my research below to learn more about our project and how you can help protect our local habitats.

The Dolphin

Written by Vanessa

One day there was a dolphin birthing her baby dolphin . One was born and they lived under the Pacific Ocean. Their family was in the Pacific Ocean. Then one day there was a little girl swimming in the ocean, and they saw the baby dolphin she said, ''Wow! Look I see a baby dolphin!'' The baby dolphin was playing around, dolphins love to play. The dolphin family was shy towards the little girl, except the mommy dolphin.

The girl was shy too. Near the dolphin There was a storm drain, which is a pipe carrying trash and water into the ocean. Then the baby dolphin got a little hungry she saw plastic trash, and mistook it for food, and gobbled it up. She sadly died.

When the little girl found out about the dolphin dying, she was really sad. The little girl put a sign that said, “Don’t litter.” Twice a week the little girl picks up trash in her community. She reminds people to pick up trash in our community to protect the animals.
